Flags

Track support issues and follow up on individual student needs by raising a Flag in Intellispark

A Flag allows educators to raise timely awareness about a student's needs or situation.  This can be done from the Student Hub Page. A Flag to raise awareness may require no action and can be set to close out automatically after a period of time or it could be used like a support ticket or case that needs to be addressed and closed out by someone manually before it is "filed" within the student profile.

Defining names for Flags at your school encourages educators to use a consistent, shared vocabulary when identifying needs or supports. Once a Flag is selected from a list of those created by your school, notes can be added to provided additional context for team members permitted to see the Flag. Flags can be marked sensitive for limited staff access. The Flag can be unassigned or assigned to one more or more people; for example, a multi-person support team can decide who will follow up on a certain Flag. Flags can be closed with a planned follow-up date just to be sure the student is still okay and the issue has remained resolved. Once an assigned Flag has been saved, an email notification will be sent to the team member designated to follow-up.

A custom list may be created by filtering on a given Flag in order to monitor students who have that Flag or to generate a report and track the history of needs and services associated with that Flag.
